Obituary for Jason Groenewold
JASON E. GROENEWOLD, 38, of Morrison, IL, died Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at his home.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, February 3, 2018 at the Morrison Christian Reformed Church in Morrison, IL. Rev. Kevin VerHoeven, Pastor of Thrive Ministries - Morrison Campus will officiate. A memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Friday, February 2, 2018 at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Fulton Township Cemetery in Fulton, IL. A memorial has been established by the family.

Jason was born November 27, 1979, in Clinton, IA, to Karl J. and Ruth Ann (Kooi) Groenewold. He attended Morrison grade schools and was a graduate of Morrison High School. On September 28, 2007 he married Roxanne Workman at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Morrison. Jason worked at Timken Drives in Fulton, IL. He enjoyed watching football and was a NASCAR fan.

Survivors include his wife, Roxanne; three daughters, Arlene (Ryan) Wiersema of Morrison, Annmarie and Brianna Groenewold both of Morrison; one son, Shawn Schaefer of Morrison; three grandchildren, Sammy, Ross and Melody Wiersema; four brothers, Jerry Ammon of Fulton, IL, Jeff Groenewold and Justin Groenewold both of Clinton, IA, Randall Stricker of Thomson, IL; his step-mother, Donna Groenewold of Morrison, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Karl and Ruth Ann Groenewold; one son, James Lloyd Hatt; his maternal and paternal grandparents; one cousin, Travis; his aunt and uncle, Frances and John Groenewold.
