Obituary for Anna Braun
ANNA BRAUN, 103, of Fulton, IL, died Friday, May 05, 2017 at Harbor Crest Nursing Home in Fulton. Anna was born May 16, 1913 in Fulton, to John and Fredreka (Zaagman) Klavenga. She was educated in the Fulton Christian Grade School. On July 9, 1932 she married Louis H. Braun in Chadwick, IL. He died December 29, 1997. Anna was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church in Fulton and enjoyed doing counted cross stitch needlework, quilting, knitting, crocheting, crossword puzzles, traveling and music of all kinds. She liked to go antiquing and restore and refinish furniture. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Lou Housenga of Sun City, AZ and Laureen (Larry) Phares of Albany, IL; one son, Terry (Sharon) Braun of Fulton; six grandchildren, LuAnn (Jon) Drake, David Housenga, Lynne Housenga, Darla Drew, Stephanie (Jon) Peters, Andrew Phares; six great grandchildren; one sister, Clara Klavenga of Fulton; one brother, Henry Klavenga of Fulton. Anna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis; two sisters, Bernice Klavenga, Angeline Miley; three brothers, David, Martin and Ike Klavenga.
