Obituary for Annabelle J. Ann Buseman
ANNABELLE "ANN" J. BUSEMAN, 90, of Indianola, IA, formerly of Clinton, IA, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at Westview Care Center in Indianola. Ann was born on August 21, 1922, in Fulton, IL, to Claus and Josie (Sikkema) Ten Boer. She was educated in the Fulton Illinois grade schools and graduated from Fulton High School. She attended Mount St. Clare Junior College in Clinton, IA and in 1949 she graduated from Iowa State Teacher"s College (now UNI) in Cedar Falls, IA. She married Rev. Fred R. Buseman on June 24, 1950 in Fulton, IL. He died on November 12, 1997. After college, Ann taught for five years at elementary schools in Iowa and Illinois. For over 60 years, Ann served as organist and pianist, and sometimes Sunday school teacher and choir director, in many churches in the Reformed Church in America. She also played the autoharp, singing to patients in nursing homes. She was a prayer warrior who prayed for many people daily until her health declined. Her hobbies included making quilts, crocheting and reading. Survivors include two daughters, Linda (Wayne) Van Regenmorter of St. John, IN and Lois (Jerry) Selby of Indianola, IA; four grandchildren, Rachel (Michael) Weeldreyer, Ryan (Jen) Van Regenmorter, Sarah (Nathan) Willey, Matthew (Anna) Selby; three great grandchildren; one brother, Marlin Ten Boer of DeKalb, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Fred; a sister, Harriet Straite.
