Obituary for Arthur L. Weber
ARTHUR L. WEBER, 89, of Fulton, IL, died Monday, February 24, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center North in Clinton, IA. Art was born October 9, 1924, in Fulton, IL, to George and Hazel (Plumley) Weber. He attended Fulton grade schools and graduated from Fulton High School in 1943. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, stationed in Okinawa from 1944-1946. Art was employed by General Electric Appliance Control Department in Morrison, IL, for over 30 years. Art was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Clinton, IA, and also a member of the American Legion Post #402 in Fulton. He enjoyed fishing all year long, and was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes fan. Survivors include Gayle Topping, Terry MacLennan, Jere Chapin, Gilbert Chapin, Louise Duplissis, Guy Plumley and Lucille Chapin. He was preceded in death by his parents.
