Obituary for Betty L. Edwards
BETTYL. EDWARDS, 86, of Resthave Home in Morrison, IL, formerly of Fulton, IL, died Monday, November 7, 2016 at Resthave.Betty was born November 23, 1929, in Mechanicsville, IA, to Harold and Libby (Hartman) Longerbeam. She was educated in the Mt. Vernon, IA grade schools and was a graduate of Mt. Vernon High School. On August 13, 1948 she married Richard T. Edwards at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. He died August 3, 2010. Betty had been employed by the Bank and Trust Co. in Mt. Vernon, and also as a teller at the Fulton State Bank in Fulton, IL. She was a member of the Fulton Presbyterian Church, a charter member of the Fulton Country Club and a member of the Bluffs Golf Course in Zolfo Springs, FL. Betty was active with various church committees throughout the years.Survivors include one daughter, Patricia (Michael) Reynolds of Fulton; one son, Dennis (Cheryl) Edwards of Fulton; four grandchildren, Bryan (Amy) Reynolds, Adam Reynolds, Jeff (Emily) Edwards and Libe (Terry) Flack;nine great grandchildren, Caleb, Aiden, and Liliana Reynolds, Ava, Kylie, Joel and Wyatt Edwards, Christie and Callie DeYoung.She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; one sister, Dorothy Steinocher; one brother in infancy, Lloyd Longerbeam.
