Obituary for Beverly "Berry" L. McBride
BEVERLY “BERRY” LOUISE McBRIDE, 93, of Harbor Crest Nursing Home in Fulton, IL, died Monday, March 5, 2018 at Harbor Crest.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, March 9, 2018 at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home in Morrison, IL, officiated by Rev. Toni Lucas, pastor of the Albany United Methodist Church. A visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Thursday, March 8th at the funeral home. Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison. A memorial to Harbor Crest Nursing Home has been established.

Beverly was born February 24, 1925 in Morrison, IL, to William F. “Bob” and Mary Jane (Cummings) Williams. She was raised and educated in Morrison. She married Kyle L. Wickes, Sr. on July 19, 1941. He was the father of her five children; they divorced in 1965 and he passed away in 1974. She married Francis M. “Mac” McBride on December 16, 1983. He passed away on June 1, 2009. Beverly was a lifetime member of the Rock Falls American Legion Auxiliary. She was a former member of the Fulton Assembly of God Church in Fulton, and the First Baptist Church in Morrison. She is a current member of the Albany United Methodist Church in Albany, IL. Beverly was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed bowling, traveling and woodworking. She loved to crochet and other crafts. While at Harbor Crest she made angels to give to the residents, staff, relatives and friends.

Survivors include one daughter, Jessie (Dave Baugher) McWilliams of Albany, IL; three sons, Kyle (Donna) Wickes, Jr. of McCormick, SC, Thomas (Sherry Parker) Wickes of Albany, IL and Glenn (Debbie) Wickes of Batavia, OH; also many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Kyle and Francis; one son, Fred Wickes; two grandchildren, Karen-Eads Hill and Robert A. Wickes; six sisters, Goldie Shepard, Lorna Galentine, Florence Lewis, Edna Kosier, Dorothy DeVries and Martha Graham; three brothers, Glenn Williams, Bill Williams and Creighton Paul Williams; one daughter-in-law, Joy Wickes and one son-in-law, Bill McWilliams.
