Obituary for Beverly Ryan
BEVERLY JOY UFKIN RYAN, 56, of Morrison, IL, died Sunday, July 22, 2012, at home. Beverly was born November 29, 1955, in Sterling, IL, to Kenneth and June (Rosenow) Ufkin. She was educated in the Woodside Grade School in rural Whiteside County, and graduated from Morrison High School in 1973. She worked at Pete Harkness Ford of Sterling, IL, for 38 years. She also worked as a clerk for Dirks Auction of Sterling. Beverly was a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church in Morrison. She belonged to an antique collectors club in the Morrison and Fulton, IL area. She was a member of a Wednesday Night Bowling League in Morrison. Survivors include her mother, June Ufkin of Lyndon, IL; one sister, Barbara (Robert) Vegter of Morrison, IL; one brother, Steven (Kathy) Ufkin of Lyndon, IL; one niece, Andrea Vegter; one nephew, Jay Ufkin; significant other, Dave Kirk of Morrison, IL; extended family members, Rob, Cathleen Ashley, Bryce & Jacob Vegter; Bryan, Kelli, Tyler and Mason Dunn; Sean and Heather Kirk; Brian, Tracey, Owen and Irelynn Oviatt; Patrick Kirk; special friends: Pam and Jack Jones, Carol Onken, Gloria Ivey and Kelby Ottens, Doug Belha and Peg Mills. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Ufkin; maternal grandparents, Fritz and Alma Rosenow; paternal grandparents, Frank and Mary Ufkin; one nephew, Scott Ufkin.
