Obituary for Carole Kruger
CAROLE KRUGER, 71, of Fulton, IL, died Thursday, July 3, 2014, at Palos Community Hospital, Palos Heights, IL. Carole was born July 27, 1942, in Mattoon, IL, to Joe and Lois (Light) Janes. She was educated in the Cumberland grade schools and graduated from Cumberland High School in Toledo, IL, in 1960. She then graduated from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, IL, with a Bachelor"s Degree in Education. She later received her Master"s Degree from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL. Carole married Richard D. "Dick" Kruger on March 9, 1963, in Toledo, IL. He died July 20, 2001. Carole taught elementary education in various school districts, teaching kindergarten in the Savanna, IL, grade schools for the longest period. Most recently, Carole worked at the Schmaling Library in Fulton, IL. She was a member of Second Reformed Church in Fulton, where she was actively involved in aspects of the church. Carole enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include one daughter, Kristen (Jon) Perrino of Seattle, WA; one son, Kurt (Dawn) Kruger of Frankfort, IL; three grandchildren, Kylie and Erick Kruger; Cecilia Perrino; one sister, Diane Swisher of Decatur, IL; two brothers, David (Janice) Janes of Bloomington, IL and Michael (Becky) Janes of Cisne, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick; and her parents.
