Obituary for Charlotte R. Ebbers
CHARLOTTE R. EBBERS, 73, of 304 Oak Street, Morrison, IL, died Saturday, July 30, 2011 at her home. Charlotte was born August 12, 1937 in Clinton, IA to Charles and Adeline (Stuit) Damhoff. She was educated in the Fulton grade schools and was a 1955 graduate of Fulton High School in Fulton, IL. Charlotte married Roland J. Ebbers on February 7, 1957 in Fulton. She was first employed at the former Clinton Garment Company, then at Resthave Nursing Home in Morrison, and then the former Parkview Motel in Morrison. Most recently, she was employed as secretary/bookkeeper for Ebbers Builders in Morrison, retiring in 2000. Charlotte was a member of the Emmanuel Reformed Church in Morrison and the church"s Ruth Circle. She was a nursery volunteer and a Sunday School teacher. She greatly enjoyed participating in a Morrison neighborhood coffee group for over 40 years and also a relatives coffee group. Charlotte was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing the organ and piano at her home. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Rollie; one daughter, Linda (Hal) Snyder of Morrison, IL; one son, Timothy Ebbers of Morrison, IL; two grandchildren, Kelsey Snyder and Eric Snyder. She was preceded in death by her parents.
