Obituary for Chris Shetler "Ludachris"
CHRIS SHETLER “LUDACHRIS”, 44, of Morrison, IL, died Friday July 28, 2023, at his home.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Friday, August 4, 2023, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Cremation rites will be accorded following the visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 to 6:00 PM on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at The Milkhouse - 17511 Crosby Road, Morrison, IL. Interment will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
Chris was born September 13, 1978, in Morrison, IL, to Dave and Sandy (Bardell) Shetler. He was educated in the Milledgeville and Morrison grade schools and Morrison Junior High and Morrison High School. Chris worked in the auto parts industry for his whole life and became owner of Morrison Auto Supply in 2017. He loved anything with a motor and enjoyed riding Harleys and dirt bikes. He liked drag racing, snowboarding, skateboarding and BMX. Chris also coached youth football for several years. He was an avid Raiders fan.
Survivors include one daughter, Kaylee Shetler of Morrison, IL; two sons, Isaak Shetler of Clinton, IA and Kody Shetler of Morrison, IL; his parents, Dave and Sandy Shetler of Rock Falls, IL; one sister, Emily (Nick) Wilkens of Osco, IL, maternal grandfather, Raymond Bardell of Milledgeville, IL; two dogs, Nova and Chopper.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Josephine Bardell; paternal grandparents, Vernon L. Shetler and Alice Shetler.
