Obituary for Clarence E. Workman
CLARENCE E. WORKMAN, 92, of Fulton, IL, died Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Harbor Crest Home in Fulton.Clarence was born March 16, 1923, in Fulton, IL, to Edward and Elizabeth (Post) Workman. He was educated in the Fulton Grade Schools and was a 1941 graduate of Fulton High School. He married Bernice Huizenga on February 12, 1945 in Morrison, IL. Clarence served in the U. S. Army during WWII. He was employed his entire working career in the heating and air conditioning business, which included being a partner in Kooi and Workman. He was a member of the First Reformed Church in Fulton, where he served as a deacon and an elder, sang in the choir and taught catechism. He was a member of the American Legion Post #402 and the Fulton Country Club. Clarence served as a member of the Fulton Township Board of Directors. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his grandchildren.Survivors include his wife, Bernice; one daughter, Cheryl (Gary) Sikkema of Fulton; one son, Steve (Cindy) Workman of Fulton; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Alfred Workman.
