Obituary for Clarence Junior Rose
CLARENCE JUNIOR ROSE, 85, of Kewanee, IL, died Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at his home.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM Sunday, December 23rd at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Kewanee. Cremation rites have been accorded. The Bosma-Gibson Funeral Home in Prophetstown is assisting the family with arrangements.
Clarence was born May 24, 1933 in Adeline, IL to Clarence and Bessie (Meyers) Rose. He attended school in the Rockford school system. He served in the U.S. Army. On February 24, 1956 he married Betty Carol Olson in Rockford. Clarence loved working as a carpenter for the local Carpenters Union. He was a member of the Kewanee Christian Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He loved sharing his faith with others and working with his hands.
Survivors include his wife, Betty; one son, David (Tammy) Rose of Peoria, IL; one daughter, Debra (Lee) Workheiser of Kewanee, IL; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Barrett of Yucca Valley CA and Bonnie (Bill) Austin of Center Ridge, AR; one brother, Robert Rose of Laporte, CO; and many nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Pam Youbles, Lorraine Palmeri, and Betty Holland.
