Obituary for Cletus L. Murphy
CLETUS LAVERN MURPHY JR., 79, died Sunday, December 10, 2017at Crestridge Nursing Home in Maquoketa, IA..Cletus was born February 22, 1938 in East Dubuque, IL to Rita M. (Stone) and Cletus L. Murphy Sr. He was educated in the McGregor Grade School in McGregor, IA, and Lyons Junior and High Schools in Clinton, IA. On December 15, 1955 he married Charmion R. Decker in Clinton, IA. She died January 29, 2004. Cletus owned and operated Murphy Automotive Service in Clinton. Following retirement he was employed as a security guard for ADM in Clinton. He was a member of the Clinton Area Rod Club.Survivors include one sister, Rita Jill (Charles) Nissen of Camanche, IA; two nephews and three nieces.He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Charm.
CREMATION RITES HAVE BEEN ACCORDED SERVICE: There will be no visitation or memorial service. INTERMENT: Private interment will be at the Fulton Township Cemetery in Fulton, IL
