Obituary for Dale Arthur Toppert
DALE A. TOPPERT, 70 of Prophets Riverview Good Samaritan Center, Prophetstown, IL, died Sunday, August 1, 2010, at Morrison Community Hospital in Morrison, IL. Dale was born July 28, 1940, in Sterling, IL, to Lloyd and Miriam (Weber) Toppert. He was educated in the Prophetstown, grade schools and attended Prophetstown High School. His first employment was in the construction trades. He later worked as a groomsman at various horse race tracks around the country for 30 years. Dale enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include two daughters, Suzie Toppert of New York and Annie Toppert of Virginia; one son, Christopher Toppert of New York; two sisters, Marilyn Lanphere of Prophetstown, IL and Jody (Dale "Doc") Vroman of Hillsdale, IL; one brother, Marvin Toppert of Missouri; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
