Obituary for Daniel E. McMahon
DANIEL E. McMAHON, 62, of Fulton, IL, died Monday, July 24, 2023 at MercyOne Clinton - Clinton, IA.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Lingle officiating. A memorial visitation will precede the service starting at 12:00 PM until the time of the service. A memorial to the Clinton Humane Society has been established.
Daniel was born August 30, 1960, in Maquoketa, IA, to Daniel J. and Mary Lou (Carr) McMahon. He grew up on the family farm in rural Bernard, IA, and graduated from Western Dubuque High School in Cascade, IA. On April 21, 2001 he married Colette Caffey in Cordova, IL. Daniel was employed by the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 25 out of Rock Island, IL. He was fond of riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and golfing. After retirement, he and his wife Colette enjoyed traveling to Arizona to extend their golf season.
Survivors include his wife, Colette; his mother, Mary Lou McMahon of Cascade, IA; three sisters, Roseanne (Steve) Rath of Dubuque, IA, Susan (Eric) Manternach and Lorrie (Mark) Meier, both of Cascade, IA; three brothers, Joe (Teresa) McMahon of Battle Ground, WA, Bill (Lou) McMahon of Bankston, IA and Larry (Colleen) McMahon of Cedar Rapids, IA; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel J. McMahon; two brothers, David F. and James A. McMahon.
