Obituary for DeLores L. Reedy
DELORES L. REEDY, 81, of Mercy Living Center South, Harmony House, Clinton, IA, died Monday, September 28, 2015, at Mercy Medical Center North, Clinton, IA. DeLores was born December 5, 1933, in Clinton, IA, to Eugene and Florence L. (Kenworthy) Baughman. She was educated in the Lyons grade school and was a graduate of Lyons High School in Clinton, IA. DeLores married Howard M. Reedy on May 11, 1955, in Clinton, IA. He died June 7, 2000. In her early years, DeLores worked at Rastrelli"s in Clinton. She later worked as a nurses aide and homemaker. DeLores was a former member of the Miles Presbyterian Church in Miles, IA. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, crocheting, and needlework. She loved gardening, canning, and singing. Survivors include three daughters, Sheryl (Dale) Nissen of Camanche, IA; Juliann (Mike) Bray of Clinton, IA; and Jennifer (Jeff) Horst of Clinton, IA; one son, Duane Reedy of Clinton, IA; ten grandchildren, Joshua (Hanna) Empen, Matthew (Julia) Reedy, Jami (Sean) Ohrt, Jaci Reedy, Cody Fishwild, John Bray, Ashley Horst, Emily Bray, Jordan Horst, and Justin Horst; six great-grandchildren, MacKenzie DaRonco, Lauren Reedy, Kane Ohrt, Kasen Ohrt, Keaton Behrens, and Madison Empen; and one sister, Lucy (Jack) Leibert of Camanche, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard, one son, Merle Reedy, and one sister, Beverly Lorrack.
