Obituary for Dolores M. Heun
DOLORES M. HEUN, 85, of Fulton, IL, died Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at the Alverno Healthcare Facility, in Clinton, IA. Dolores was born August 24, 1929, in Fulton, IL, to George J. and Gertrude (Drolema) Buikema. She was educated in the rural Whiteside County Grade Schools and was a graduate of Erie High School in Erie, IL. Dolores married Marvin J. Heun on February 11, 1949, in Fulton, IL. Dolores was engaged in farming with her husband in the rural Fulton area since 1949. She was a member of Newton Zion Reformed Church in rural Erie, IL. She enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Marvin; one daughter, Trudy (Tim) Eckert of Fulton, IL; three grandchildren, Lynsey Wittenberg, Laura Eckert, and Megan (Richard) Connell; three great-grandchildren, Ethan and Riley Wittenberg and Tyler Freese; and one brother, Darrell (Lynne) Buikema of Menomonee Falls, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents.
