Obituary for Donald F. Mathews
DONALD F. MATHEWS, 65, OF Milledgeville, IL, died Friday, April 29, 2016, at Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon, IL. Donald was born September 17, 1950, in Sterling, IL, to Forrest S. and Stella S. (Vukson) Mathews. He was educated in the Sterling grade schools and was a graduate of Sterling High School. He married Carol Coley in December of 1978. Don was employed by the Local #727 Laborers Union in Dixon, IL. He was a member of the Moose Club in Sterling. He was an avid outdoorsman, loving to fish and hunt. Survivors include one daughter, Elizabeth Mathews of Rock Falls, IL; one son, Michael Mathews of Milledgeville, IL; one granddaughter, Raycelin McGuire; two brothers, Kenneth Mathews of Las Vegas, NV and Joseph (Louise) Mathews of Morrison, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, David Mathews.
