Obituary for Donald G. Dutch Letcher
DONALD G. "DUTCH" LETCHER, 73, of 809 S. Church Street, Albany, IL died Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center North, Clinton, IA. Don was born April 9, 1938 in Albany, IL to Benjamin and Jeanette (Smith) Letcher. He was educated in the Argo Fay grade school of Carroll County, IL. He married Ruth Ann Rennecker on June 18, 1966 in Albany, IL. Don was employed by J.T. Cullen Company in Fulton, Case IH in East Moline, IL, and most recently by Westway Trading Corporation in Cordova, IL. He enjoyed gardening, feeding the birds and squirrels, and his daily walk with his dog "Tinker". Survivors include his wife, Ruth Ann; two daughters, Roxanne Sterns of Camanche, IA and Kathy (Joe) VanLoo of Thomson, IL; one son, Chad (Fiancee " Angel Saiter) Letcher of Clinton, IA; six grandchildren including Kali Letcher; one sister, Dorothy VanOver of Savanna, IL; two brothers, Jim Letcher of Fulton, IL and John (Kay) Letcher of Thomson, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Angela Lynn Letcher; and a twin brother, Dave Letcher.
