Obituary for Donna E. Prestley
DONNA E. PRESTLEY, 88, of Morrison, IL, died Thursday April 8, 2020 at her home.
Cremation rites have been accorded. The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date. The Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. A memorial has been established.
Donna was born September 10, 1931, in Elgin, IA, to Donald O and Edith (Conner) Doan. She was educated in the Elgin grade schools and was a graduate of Elgin High School. On January 12, 1952 she married Robert E. Prestley in Camanche, IA. He died April 17, 2002. Donna worked for the Clinton Herald Newspaper and later at Climco Coils in Morrison. She and her husband raised and raced horses. She enjoyed caring for and raising wildlife animals that would come around her home. She loved spending time with and watching her great grandchildren’s sporting events.
Survivors include a son, Donald (Jenny Riffle) Prestley of Morrison, IL; two granddaughters, Heather (Thomas) Grennan of Rock Falls, IL and Jenny Greenwood of Morrison, IL; nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Lois.
