Obituary for Dorothy A. Tiesman
DOROTHY A. TIESMAN, 77, of Lyndon, IL, died Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Resthave Home in Morrison, IL.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial visitation will be held from 3:00 – 5:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma Renkes Funeral Home. There will be no funeral service. A memorial has been established.
Dorothy was born April 8, 1941 in Sterling, IL, to George R. and Mary A. (Ernst) Swanson. She was educated in the Morrison grade schools and graduated from Morrison High School. She married Robert W. Tiesman on July 18, 1980 in Morrison. Dorothy was the manager of the FS Gas Station in Morrison for more than 20 years. She and her husband Bob enjoyed camping. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her children, grandchildren and dogs.
Survivors include her husband, Bob; one daughter, Angie (Ron) Kuykendall of Erie, IL; two sons, Barry (Jane) Houzenga of Morrison, IL and Bob Houzenga; one step daughter, Mrs. Dawn Stage of Fulton, IL; one step son, Tom (Debbie) Tiesman of Lyndon, IL; seventeen grandchildren; many great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Patricia Fax of Onalaska, TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one step son-in-law, Ray Stage; one brother-in-law, Jim Fax.
