Obituary for Dorothy S. Meyer
DOROTHY S. MEYER, 95, of Eagle Point Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clinton, IA, died Friday, October 18, 2013, at the Center. Dorothy was born December 26, 1917, in Albany, IL, to Albert J. and Mary V. (Burns) Coyne. She was educated in the Albany, IL schools. Dorothy married Gustav J. Meyer on April 17, 1938, in DeWitt, IA. He died April 25, 1988. She was a homemaker and enjoyed the arts, especially drawing. She also enjoyed music and reading. Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Lillian Glazier of Clinton, IA; three nieces, Nancy J. Haan of Rockford, IL; Patricia A. Gearing of Freeport, IL, and Peggy (Terry) Chase of Fulton, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband; one sister, Virginia Little-Houzenga; one brother, Glenn Coyne; two brothers-in-law, Clarence Glazier and Henry Little; one nephew, Gary Glazier.
