Obituary for Ella Mae Tenboer
ELLA MAE TENBOER, 89, of Bickford Cottage, Clinton, IA, formerly of Morrison, IL, died Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center North in Clinton, IA. Ella Mae was born October 12, 1922, in Fulton, IL, to Clarence P. and Helen (Prins) Smith. She was educated in the rural Whiteside County grade schools. She married Everett D. Tenboer on September 14, 1942, in Morrison, IL. He died January 13, 1992. Ella Mae was employed as a nurse"s aide at the Resthave Nursing Home in Morrison, and also the Morrison Community Hospital. She also provided private nursing care for many years. She was a member of the Garden Plain Presbyterian Church and their United Presbyterian Women group. Survivors include two brothers, Gerald (Marge) Smith of Kenosha, WI and Francis Smith of Mountain Home, AR. She was preceded in death by her husband Everett, two sisters, Johanna Blink and Dorothy Housenga; five brothers, Alfred, Clifford, Eugene, Harold and Clarence Smith Jr.
