Obituary for Fannie Stralow
FANNIE STRALOW, 90, of Morrison, IL, died Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at Resthave Home in Morrison.Fannie was born November 18, 1925, in Gronigen, Netherlands to John and Geessien (Baar) Vos. She was educated in the Morrison, IL grade schools and attended Morrison High School. Fannie married Ernest C. Stralow on January 13, 1943, in Morrison, IL. He died September 24, 2011. She farmed with her late husband, Ernie, in the rural Morrison area and was later employed by the Fulton Locker and then the Morrison Locker. She then worked at the former National T Grocery Store and most recently at Climco both of Morrison. Fannie was a member of the Ebenezer Reformed Church in Morrison and the churchs Ladies Aid Society and a charter member of the Philathea Society. She was also a member of the Whiteside County Farm Bureau and the Whiteside Home Extension. Fannie enjoyed crafting and gardening. Memorials have been established to Ebenezer Reformed Church and Unity Christian Schools.Survivors include two daughters, Mary Sue (Arlyn) Vander Eide of Fulton, IL and Linda (Rev. Dan) Hoogheem of Mohawk, NY; two sons, Rev. Jim (JoAnn) Stralow of Freeport, IL and John (Ginny) Stralow of Pella, IA; ten grandchildren, Jeff (Chris) Vander Eide, Julie (Joe) Lutz, Karen (Jeff) Merema, Aaron Hoogheem, Adam (Sarisha) Hoogheem, David (Debbie) Stralow, Dan (Ange) Stralow, Deb (Greg) Dyson, Kim (Bob) Gates, and Ray (Kathy) Stralow; twenty-three great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Al (Betty) Vos and Barney Vos both of Morrison, IL and a sister-in-law, Marilyn Vos of Morrison, IL.She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernie; one sister, Sena Huizenga; and three brothers, James, Henry, and Marvin Vos.

FUNERAL SERVICE : 10:00 A.M. Monday, October 24, 2016 at Ebenezer Reformed Church in Morrison, IL OFFICIATING : Mr. Ken Renkes VISITATION : 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. Sunday, October 23, 2016 at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home INTERMENT : Cottonwood Cemetery – rural Morrison, IL
