Obituary for Frances J. Frannie Oleson
FRANCES J. "FRANNIE" OLESON, 67, of 1301 Cahn Street, Hooppole, IL died Friday, February 24, 2012 at Hillcrest Home, Geneseo, IL. Frannie was born March 18, 1944 in Morrison, IL to Francis and Lila (Redell) Stone. She was educated in the Prophetstown Grade Schools and was a 1962 graduate of Prophetstown High School in Prophetstown, IL. She married Carlyle F. Oleson on June 2, 1963 in Prophetstown. He died August 13, 2007. Frannie was employed by several local employers, including Hillcrest Home in Geneseo and most recently the Tri-County Opportunities Council in Rock Falls, IL. Frannie was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in Hooppole where she served as a Sunday School teacher and Kid"s Club helper. Her faith in Jesus Christ was a strong influence in her life. She was an active volunteer with the Hooppole Fun Day. Her son and grandchildren were the love of her life. Survivors include one son, Dave Oleson of Hooppole, IL; two grandchildren, Hunter and Jaiden Oleson; two sisters, Mary Anne (Marion) Duuck of Clinton, IA and Lucy (Gene) Ryan of Morrison, IL; two brothers, Larry (Barb) Stone and Franky (Kathy) Stone both of Lyndon, IL; two sisters-in-law, Lorraine Massey of Des Moines, IA and Shirley (Ron) Roselieb of Hooppole, IL; two brothers-in-law, Gary Roselieb and Ron "Buck" (Sharon) Oleson both of Prophetstown, IL; and a grand dog, "Baby Junior". She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carlyle; two sisters, Nancy Church and Judy Michael.
