Obituary for Gilda M. Hartman
GILDA M. HARTMAN, 87, of Fulton, IL, died Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center North in Clinton, IA. Gilda was born November 3, 1928 in Fulton, IL, to Henry R. and Theresa (Workman) Dykema. She was educated in the Morrison Grade Schools and was a 1946 graduate of Morrison High School. She married Norman Hartman on August 7, 1947 in Morrison. He died on May 5, 2008. Gilda had worked at the ICE Factory and later General Electric Co., both in Morrison. She then was employed by the former Krahn"s Koffee Kup Restaurant in Thomson, IL. She was a member of the Fulton American Legion Auxiliary. Gilda enjoyed knitting, crocheting and cross stitching. Survivors include one daughter, Gretchen (Mike) Smith of Milwaukee, WI; one son, Gordon (Lois) Hartman of Atalissa, IA; five grandchildren; Shawn (Jinger) Smith, Hannah (Travis) Miller, Whitney (Amy) Hartman, Justin (Kim) Hartman, Kinsey (Ashley) Hartman; twelve great grandchildren, Ashley, Leah, Nickia, Preston, Olivia, Abigail, Aaron, Alyssa, Lydia, Melanie, Victoria, Trenton. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Norman; one son, Gregory Hartman.
