Obituary for James R. Lane
JAMES RICHARD LANE, 86, of Albany, IL, died Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Mercy Living Center South in Clinton, IA.Jim was born December 8, 1930, in Muscatine, IA, to Jesse and Jessie Lane. He was a veteran and served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. On September 17, 1956 he married Karen M. Petersen in Corinth, MS. She died on January 27, 2006. Jim worked at Case IH in East Moline for 42 years, retiring in 1991. He was a member of the Albany United Methodist Church and the Albany Hanson-Kennedy American Legion Post #1079. Jim served on the Albany Fire Department.Survivors include two daughters, Karla Lane and Jacquelyn Damhoff of Fulton, IL; one grandson, Ryan James Damhoff; one brother, Thurman (Roberta) Lane of Fulton, IL.He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen, one son, in infancy, Richard James; one granddaughter, Katelyn Damhoff.
