Obituary for Jane E. Lamb
JANE E. LAMB, 101, of Morrison, IL, died Thursday, January 18, 2018, at Resthave Home in Morrison.

The funeral service will be 1:00 P.M., Sunday, January 21, 2018, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home preceded by visitation from noon until the time of the service. Rev. Ryan Sutton, pastor of Morrison United Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will be at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison. A memorial to Morrison United Methodist Church has been established.

Jane was born March 16, 1916, in Meadow View, VA to William P. and Maude E. (Wadkins) Widener. She was educated in the Monmouth grade schools and was a graduate of Monmouth High School in Monmouth, IL. Jane married Arthur H. Lamb on April 7, 1940, in Burlington, IA. He died January 31, 2002. She was employed by the former Buikema-Blass Men’s Clothing Store in Morrison for many years. Jane was a member of the Morrison United Methodist Church and the church’s Faith Circle. She taught Sunday School and Bible School and served as a youth group sponsor. She was a member of the Monmouth Women’s Club and Royal Neighbors. Jane was a member of the Morrison Hospital Auxiliary and was a Lobby Shop and “Pink Lady” volunteer. She was a Red Cross Mobile volunteer and a sponsor of Beta Sigma Phi sorority.

Survivors include one son, Richard (Jan) Lamb of Fulton, IL; two grandchildren, Martin Lamb and Cathy (Brian) Brackemyer; three step grandchildren, Kim Alm, Kris (Jerry) Gluesing, and Randy (Kim) Geffers; four great-grandchildren, Michael Lamb, Melissa (Mike) Melton, Zachary (Jamie) Brackemyer, and Chase Brackemyer; five step great-grandchildren, Carl (Audrey) Alm, Kurt (Sara) Alm, Michael Gluesing; McKenna Geffers, and Colson Geffers; and eight great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; three sisters and nine brothers.
