Jeanne was born in Randolph, New York on May 21, 1945 to Marion R. and Dorothy (Novak) Snow. She married Verlin J. “Lum” Baker on December 15, 1972. Jeanne had a stroke at age 49 on October 26, 1994. She persevered for 25 years with her strength and the love of her husband. They raised four beautiful daughters and had a wonderful life together. Jeanne worked at the Savanna Army Depot, Gene’s in Fulton, IL., Buck’s Barn in Thomson, IL, and Swiss Colony in Clinton, IA. Lum retired from Lock and Dam 13 in October of 1997 and they bought a new 35’ Georgia-Bay class “A” motorhome, and traveled all around the country; mainly Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and Southern California. Lum and Jeanne also visited Las Vegas, New Orleans and Branson, Missouri. Jeanne loved to run, and ran the “Bix 7” - seven years in a row. She also loved gardening and was an avid reader. She was the “light” of Lum’s life.

Jeanne is survived by her husband “Lum,” and four daughters: Susan (Dean) Anderson of Davenport, IA; Amber (Robin) Diestelmeier of Savanna, IL; Hillary (Deryl) Broshous of Stockton, IL; and Danica M. Baker of Clinton, IA. Nine grandchildren: Tyler Lambrecht, Jacob (Allison) Lambrecht, Hannah Baker, Shawn (Carissa) Baker, Madelaine Imel, Kylie Truelsen, Avery Imel, Delaney Imel and Deryn Broshous. She had one great-grandson, Bentley, and one great-granddaughter due in March 2020. She is also survived by three sisters and one brother: Judy Cayard of Savanna, IL; Sue (Jesse) Fosdick of Savanna, IL; Louise Kallemeyn of Savanna, IL, and Thomas Snow in Thailand. She was preceded in death by her parents. May she rest in peace.
