Obituary for Jeffrey J. Tiesman
JEFFREY J. TIESMAN, 55, of Morrison, IL, died Friday, November 22, 2013, after a long battle with cancer. Jeff was born on December 31, 1957, in Morrison, IL, to Joe and Jeannette (Vos) Tiesman. He was educated in the rural Whiteside County grade schools and was a 1976 graduate of Morrison High School. He also attended Tulsa Welding School, in Tulsa, OK. He married Shelley A. Ottens on January 18, 1986, in Morrison. Jeff first worked for the American Piping Group in Morrison. Most recently he worked for the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union #25 " Rock Island, IL. Jeff was an avid golfer and greatly enjoyed golf trips with his friends. He was a long-time member of the former Morrison Country Club and a member of the Prairie Ridge Golf Course in Morrison. He enjoyed yard work, gardening and spending time with family, friends, and his dog, "Wrigley". Survivors include his wife, Shelley; three sons, Casey (Katie Florina) Tiesman of Lake Bluff, IL, Mathew (Kimi) Warren of Chandler, AZ, and Jason (Domini) Buikema of Morrison, IL; four granddaughters, Cambell, Harper, Lilah and Scarlett Buikema; one sister, Mary (Stan) Buckwalter of Morrison; one half-brother, Craig Tiesman of Morrison; step-mother, Irma Tiesman of Morrison, one step-brother, Steve (Liz) Tegeler of Rock Falls, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents.
