Obituary for Joyce A. Wilkins
JOYCE A. WILKINS, 68, of Fulton, IL, died Monday, August 24, 2015, at her home. Joyce was born October 27, 1946, in Morrison, IL, to Meno J. and Lois D. (Norman) Bush. She was educated in the Fulton Grade Schools and was a graduate of Fulton High School in Fulton, IL. Joyce married Gordon D. "Butch" Wilkins on June 7, 1963, in Nashua, IA. He died February 23, 2014. Joyce farmed, along with her husband, in the Ustick Township area. She also was employed by Swiss Colony in Clinton, IA, P and P Tool in Morrison, IL, and performed private duty home healthcare. Joyce was a member of Spring Valley Reformed Church in Fulton, IL, the Whiteside County Farm Bureau, and served as a 4-H leader for the Spring Valley Hayshakers. She was an active volunteer for the Fairhaven Fruit Farm in Thomson, IL. Joyce enjoyed spending time communicating with friends and family by computer and Facebook and always made time for friends and family. Survivors include one son, Thomas Wilkins of Fulton, IL; two daughters, Jana (Darin L.) Johnson of Galt, IL and Sara (Tony) Acri of Rowlett, TX; seven grandchildren; two step grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; seven step great-grandchildren; one brother, Roger (Beverly) Bush of Orland Park, IL; and one niece, Nora Bush of Orland Park, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gordon; and one granddaughter-in-law, Lisa Ward.
