Obituary for Karlene Y. Walters
KARLENE Y. WALTERS, 80, of Fenton, IL, died Sunday, April 29, 2018, at Genesis East Medical Center in Davenport, IA.
Cremation rites have been accorded; there will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date. The Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
Karlene was born February 12, 1938, in Fairfield, IA, to John and Rosetta (Ranard) Martin. She was educated in the Moline, IL, schools. On June 19, 1998, she married John Walters in Morrison, IL. Karlene worked at PFC in Clinton, IA and then worked at Swiss Colonies in Savanna, IL. Later in life she worked at Wal-Mart in Moline, and ran Grannies Country Crafts in Albany, IL. Karlene enjoyed doing crafts and playing bingo. She loved camping and fishing and listening to country music.
Survivors include her husband, John; two daughters, Robyn (Roger) Secymore and LaNita Kindelsperger, both of Swedona, IL; three sons, Robert (Vickie) Foltz of Clinton, IA; Irvin (Audrey) Foltz of Erie, IL; and Jeffrey (Brenda) Foltz of Swedona, IL; three step children, Julie Craig of Sullivan, IN, Teresa (John) Cookingham of Braceville, IL and Kim Bush of Mt. Carroll, IL; twenty-five grandchildren; forty-one great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Judy (Robert) Temple of Morrison, IL; one brother, John (Faye) Martin of Trivoli, IL; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Ruby Miller and Betty Biggs; one brother, Kenneth Martin.
