Obituary for Kason J. Swanson
Kason J. Swanson, 13, of Albany, IL, died Saturday, June 15, 2024, at his home.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. A private family funeral mass will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Timothy Barr, pastor at St. Patrick Catholic Church, officiating. Interment will be at Lusk Memorial Cemetery in Albany. A memorial has been established.
Kason was born October 1, 2010, in Moline, IL, to Matthew Swanson and Amberlynn Williams. He began his education at George O. Barr Elementary School in Silvis, IL, and continued at Fulton Elementary and River Bend Middle School, where he became a proud Steamer. Kason spent his summers playing Rec baseball, but his true passion was track and field, where he excelled as a sprinter. He was also an avid gamer, a wonderful brother and son, and one of the most caring individuals one could ever meet. His bright spirit and kind heart will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his parents, Matthew Swanson of Albany, IL, Amberlynn Williams of Clinton, IA and Leslie Swanson of Dixon, IL; his siblings, Ariana, Xaelynn, Terrence, A’laighsia, MarTavious of Clinton, IA and Mariah and Eliana of Dixon, IL; grandparents, Ted J. (Sonja) Swanson of Albany, IL and Tonya Williams of Sherrard, IL; many aunts, uncles, cousins and his best friend and cousin, Cullen Cox.
He was preceded in death by his great grandma, Shirley Swanson; great grandpa, Elmer Oostenryk.
