Obituary for Kenneth L. Bielema
KENNETH L. BIELEMA, 93, of Fulton, IL, died Monday, February 14, 2022, at MercyOne Medical Center in Clinton, IA.

His funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 21, 2022, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Hooker, pastor of First Christian Reformed Church in Fulton, IL, officiating. A visitation will be held from 2:00 - 5:00 PM on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Fulton Township Cemetery. A memorial has been established to First Christian Reformed Church.

Kenneth was born August 2, 1928 in Ustick Township, Whiteside County, IL, to Clarence and Anna (Balk) Bielema. He attended a one room school known as Hartman School near Chadwick, IL. He then attended Thomson High School in Thomson, IL. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Kenneth married Jacqueline S. Brondyke on October 26, 1951 in Fulton, IL. She died April 2, 2000. In 2003, Kenny met Marilyn Mutter and enjoyed eight years together until she died on April 22, 2011. As a young child, Kenny’s family moved to a farm near Chadwick. They then moved to rural Thomson. He worked on his father’s farm until 1951, when he met the love of his life, Jacqueline. After Kenny’s discharge from the Army, he worked on farms until 1965 when he moved to Fulton and was employed at General Electric in Morrison, IL, until 1990 when he retired. He was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church, where he was on the church’s council and was a member of the Fulton American Legion Post #402. He enjoyed the many trips he took with Marilyn and his morning coffee at Sunrise Restaurant in Fulton. He was an avid toy Farmall tractor collector. Kenny also enjoyed the company of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include three sons, Russell (Sandie) Bielema, Steven (Pam) Bielema and Jon (Deb) Bielema all of Fulton; twelve grandchildren, Carrie (Kurt) Fanderclai, Jessica (Jay) Johnson, Philip (Julie) Bielema, Jason (Christine) Bielema, David Bielema, Amber Bielema, Joshua (Tamara) Bielema, Holly (Rocky) Burden, Nicole (Justin) Fletcher, Matthew (Theresa) Bielema, Rachel Bielema and Jacob Bielema; twenty one great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Venema of Fulton and Esther (David) Ebbers of Morrison; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Marjorie Bielema of Fulton and Mrs. Doris Bielema of Morrison.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jacqueline; two sons, Dan and Tom Bielema; three brothers, Donald, Howard and Stanley Bielema; special friend, Marilyn Mutter; one brother-in-law, Robert Venema.
