Obituary for Lillian M. Glazier
LILLIAN M. GLAZIER, 94, of Eagle Point Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clinton, IA, formerly of Albany, IL, died Friday, November 1, 2013, at the Center. Lillian was born August 14, 1919, in Albany, IL, to Albert J. and Mary V. (Burns) Coyne. She was educated in the Albany Grade Schools. Lillian married Clarence E. "Smokey" Glazier on March 22, 1941, in Maquoketa, IA. He died December 14, 2003. Lillian was self employed doing private duty housekeeping. She was a baptized member of the Albany United Methodist Church in Albany, IL. Lillian had a green thumb and could grow anything. She enjoyed baking and canning. Lillian loved her family and friends and would invite anyone into their home. A memorial to Gospel Outreach Church in Freeport, IL has been established. Survivors include one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Carol Glazier of Fulton, IL; two grandchildren, Garth (Phyllis) Glazier and Sherri Brandt; eleven great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; three nieces, Nancy L. Haan of Rockford, IL; Patricia A. Gearing of Freeport, IL; and Peggy (Terry) Chase of Fulton, IL; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Gary Glazier; two granddaughters, Elena Ritchie and Lisa McDermott; two sisters, Virginia Little-Houzenga and Dorothy Meyer; one brother, Glenn Coyne; and one niece, Myrna Rogers.
