Obituary for Linda Mae Clarke
LINDA MAE CLARKE, 76, of Rockford, IL, formerly of Fulton, IL, died Friday, August 11, 2023, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, IL.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 18, 2023, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Clinton, IA. A visitation will precede the service starting at 9:30 AM until the time of the funeral. Interment will be at Fulton Township Cemetery. A memorial has been established to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Humanitarian Aide.
Linda was born May 20, 1947, in Clinton, IA, to Horace T. and Dorothy A. (Morrow) Mason. She was educated in the Fulton grade schools and was a graduate of Fulton High School. She then went on to receive her nursing degree. Linda served as a receptionist at various doctor’s offices. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Clinton, IA, where she was a primary youth teacher. Linda was an avid crafter. She especially enjoyed crocheting and crocheted many baby blankets.
Survivors include one son, Drew (Tiffany) Clarke of Rockford, IL; five grandchildren, Kaleb, Samantha, Sarah, Rebekah and Kaylee Clarke; one sister, Dorothy Ann (Virgil) Frey of Peoria, IL; two brothers, Keith (Carol) Mason of Rogers, AR and Danny (Gloria) Mason of Pittsburgh, PA.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
