Obituary for Loretta M. Schipper
LORETTA M. SCHIPPER, 90, of Resthave Home, Morrison, IL, died Saturday, January 14, 2017, at Resthave.Loretta was born May 4, 1926, in Morrison, IL, to John B. and Mabel A. (Terry) Fredericks. She was educated in the rural Whiteside County grade schools. Loretta married Ora J. Schipper on October 13, 1942, in Morrison, IL. He died October 8, 2008. Loretta was employed by Franz Manufacturing in Sterling, IL and later by General Electric in Morrison, IL for 10 years, retiring in 1975. She also farmed with her husband in the Morrison and Erie, IL areas. Loretta was a member of the Bethesda Lutheran Church in Morrison and the churchs WELCA.Survivors include three daughters, Linda McDivitt of Morrison, IL; Susan Schipper of Newton, IA; and Rona Pfister of Morrison, IL; one son, Terry Schipper of Carson City, NV; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and one half sister, Dorothy Wilkens.She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Henry Nelson; stepmother, Pearl Fredericks; her husband, Ora; one son, John Schipper; one grandson, John Schipper, Jr.; one sister, Betty Marshall; one brother, Harold Fredericks; and two stepsisters, Charlotte Linder and Alice Utech.
