Obituary for Marian A. Meinsma
MARIAN A. MEINSMA, 89, of Harbor Crest Nursing Home, Fulton, IL, died Monday, January 23, 2012 at the nursing home. Marian was born September 22, 1922, in Sterling, IL, to Herman E. A. and Amelia (Machamer) Beveroth. She was educated in the Mt. Pleasant Center Grade School of rural Whiteside County, and attended Morrison High School in Morrison, IL. She married Henry C. Meinsma on February 5, 1941 in Morrison. He died March 7, 2009. Marian was employed by Climco in Morrison, and later by the former Patent Novelty Company in Fulton, IL. She was a member of the First Reformed Church in Fulton. Marian enjoyed reading, bird watching, sewing, baking pies, letter writing, camping and walking in the woods. Survivors include two daughters, Betty (Dan) Holesinger of Fulton, and Susan (Dean) Buhlig of North Platte, NE; five sons, Gerald (Marcia) Meinsma of Morrison, Kenneth Meinsma of Morrison, James (Jody) Meinsma of Middleburgh, NY, Donald Meinsma of Fulton, and Darrell (Sally) Meinsma of Fulton; twenty one grandchildren; twenty five great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; two brothers, Herman (Leora) Beveroth of Sterling, IL and Herbert (Judy) Beveroth of Rock Falls, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry; one daughter-in-law, Betty Jo Meinsma; four sisters, Dorothy Klitz, Althea Badtke, Lois Kelley, Onlie Walmsley; one brother, Marvin Beveroth.
