Obituary for Marilou Renwick
MARILOU (JOHNSON) RENWICK, 86, of Morrison, IL, died Sunday, January 3, 2016, at her son Bruce"s home in Joliet, IL.Marilou was born June 16, 1929, in Princeton, IL, to Leroy and Lillian (Hasenyaeger) Johnson. She was a Bureau County farm girl who began her education in a one-room schoolhouse in Greenville Township, taught by her Aunt Etta Hasenyaeger. She graduated from Walnut High School in 1947 and married her high-school sweetheart, Marvin Renwick on July 18, 1948 in Walnut, IL. While her boys were in school she worked at home for Climco. In later years she was a Deputy Circuit Clerk for Whiteside County. She served on the Board of Resthave Nursing Home representing the First Presbyterian Church where she was also a deacon. She volunteered at Golden Meals. Marilou enjoyed playing bridge and golf, made an excellent black raspberry pie, and was known as Grandma Lou and the "tickle lady" by great-grandchildren.Marilou is survived by her three sons, Bruce (Rita) Renwick of Joliet, IL, Brian (Barbara) Renwick of Oakbrook, IL, and Craig (Susan) Renwick of Manchester, United Kingdom; seven grandchildren, Sarah (Alexander) Djordjevic, Anne ( Andrew) Augustyn and Zachary Renwick; Elizabeth (John) Broz and Travis Renwick; James (Noha) Renwick and Carrianna (Alexander) Wieczorek; five great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Alina Djordjevic; Hugo Augustyn; Joseph and Ryan Renwick; one sister-in-law, Marjorie Renwick of Ottawa, IL and beloved niece Kim Schlumpf.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marvin in 2001; one sister, Bonnie Anderson; sisters-in-law, Gertrude Monroe and Beverly Ohda.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 8, 2016 at the First Presbyterian Church - Morrison, IL. OFFICIATING: Rev. Dr. Michael Selburg, pastor of First Presbyterian Church in MorrisonVISITATION: Friday, January 8, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the First Presbyterian Church in Morrison, IL. The Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.INTERMENT: 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 8, 2016 at the Walnut Cemetery in Walnut, IL.
