Obituary for Mary E. Huycke
MARY E. HUYCKE, 93, of Pleasant View Nursing Home, Morrison, IL, died Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at the nursing home. Mary was born October 25, 1919, in Coleta, IL, to William and Clara (Birdsley) Marshall. She married Kenneth A. Huycke on August 14, 1948, in Morrison, IL. He died March 19, 1969. Mary was employed by Volckmann Furniture Company and General Electric both of Morrison, IL. She was a member of the Morrison United Methodist Church. Mary enjoyed gardening, dancing, yard care, and maintaining her home. Survivors include four daughters, Janet Phillips of Morrison, IL; Nancy (Vernon) Jackson of Rock Falls, IL; Vicki Ratliff of DeWitt, IA; and Betty Fredricks of Florida; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; one son, Steven G. Huggins; and one brother, Norman Marshall.
