Obituary for Nicholas James Hartman
NICHOLAS J. HARTMAN. age 29, died Thursday, January 17, 2013 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, IA.There will be a Celebration of Life gathering from 4:00 " 8:00 PM Saturday " January 26, 2013 at the Clinton Eagles Club, 222 S. 2nd Street, Clinton, IA. Nick was born May 9, 1983. He was raised by his single mother and insisted on taking on the role of patriarch to his siblings, regardless of being assured by his Mom that this was not his responsibility. Nick loved to give to others and do things to help others, like fix things. If it was broken, he would find a way to fix it. Nick was an organ donor. Even in his death he is giving life to many others. Nick worked at 3M , Cordova, IL for seven years. He currently was a mechanic apprentice. Nick"s wife, Bridget says "he was a loving romantic husband who surprised me with romantic things and presents all of the time. We still felt like newlyweds after 8 " years." Nick"s nine year old son, Jacob, says "he was the best Dad ever for sure!" Nick was loved and will be missed by his friends and family; wife, Bridget; son, Jacob; mother, Teresa White; stepdad, Steve White; sisters, Taylor Fieser, Abby Shadle, Heidi Redmond; brother, Jacob Jones; grandparents, Robert and Virginia Jones, mother-in-law, Lorie Hartman, father-in-law, Thomas Hartman and grandma, Darlene Shadle.
