Obituary for Nola Wosoba
NOLA WOSOBA, 83, of Bickford Assisted Living, Clinton, IA, formerly of Fulton, IL, died Monday, May 19, 2014, at Bickford Assisted Living. Nola was born February 3, 1931, in Boone, IA, to August and Grace (Bos) Luckritz. She was educated in the Clinton, IA grade schools and graduated from Lyons High School in Clinton. She married Joseph W. Wosoba on March 14, 1950 in Clinton. He died August 31, 2001. Nola worked as a phone operator right out of high school. After marriage she became a homemaker and also, along with her husband, owned and operated Wosoba Auto Supply in Fulton. She was a member of St. John"s Lutheran Church in Clinton and a member of the Fulton Wa-Tan-Ye Club where she was part of the Kitchen Clowns, providing entertainment for many local nursing homes. She volunteered at the Fulton Middle School and with the Early American Crafters in Fulton. Nola was an avid reader and enjoyed baking for everyone. Survivors include three daughters, Pamela (Chuck) Trodick of LeClaire, IA; Becky (Darrell) VanScoyoc of Camanche, IA; and Kathy (Bob) Marruffo of Galt, IL; two sons, Joseph D. (Vida) Wosoba and Eddie Wosoba, both of Fulton; ten grandchildren, Mathew Trodick, Charles Trodick, Rachel Trodick, Jayson O"Neal, Jarrod VanSoyoc, Ian VanScoyoc, James (Kim) Velazquez, Melissa (Tony) Ward, Jennifer Wosoba, Nathan Wosoba; fifteen great-grandchildren; three great-great- grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Beatrice Zastrow of Clinton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; one grandson, Jesse VanScoyoc; one great-granddaughter, Chelsie Roth; two brothers, Glenn and Jule Luckritz.
