Obituary for Patricia "Toadie" Francis
PATRICIA “TOADIE” FRANCIS, 86, of Resthave Home, Morrison, IL, died Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at the home.
The funeral service is 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 4, 2018, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home with visitation from 12:30 P.M. until the time of the service. Mr. Ken Renkes will be officiating. Interment will be at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison. Memorials to Alzheimer’s Association and American Diabetes Association have been established.
Pat was born June 20, 1931, in Sterling, IL, to Charles and Mildred (Weburg) Chamberlain. She attended Lyndon, IL schools and was a graduate of Lyndon High School. She later graduated from Augustana College in Rock Island, IL, with a nursing degree. She married Glen A. Francis on February 6, 1954, in Lyndon, IL. He died July 3, 2007. Pat worked at The Home Hospital as a nurse in Sterling, IL, until having children so she could stay home with them. She was a member of the West Hume Club in Prophetstown, IL. Pat enjoyed gardening, flowers, and was an avid Cubs fan.
Survivors include one daughter, Kathy (Steve) Ufkin of Lyndon, IL; two sons, Michael (Corrine) Francis of Deer Grove, IL and Russell (Kay) Francis of Lyndon, IL; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one brother, David (Susan) Chamberlain of The Villages, FL.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen; one grandson, Scott Ufkin; and one brother, Douglas Chamberlain.
