Obituary for Patricia A. Horrall
PATRICIA A. HORRALL, 90, of Prophetstown, IL, died Thursday, June 1, 2023, at her home.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at the Lorraine United Methodist Church in rural Prophetstown, IL, with Rev. Rod Dye, officiating. A visitation will precede the service starting at 9:30 AM. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at the Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline, IL. The Bosma-Gibson Funeral Home in Prophetstown, IL, is in charge of arrangements. A memorial has been established to Lorraine United Methodist Church.
Patricia was born March 30, 1933 in Ottumwa, IA to Russell A. and Katherine R. (Morgan) Hoffman. She married Gerald Orendorff on April 27, 1950, in Rock Island, IL . She later married William A. Horrall on September 1, 1978, in Rock Island, IL. He died November 15, 1999. Pat was first employed by the Rock Island Lines Railroad. She was co-owner and operator of “Where the Wild Ones Grow”, a daycare facility in Prophetstown. Pat was a member of the Lorraine United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening and reading. Pat was an avid bridge player and a huge Bette Milder fan.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy (Steve) Spahn of Bluegrass, IA and Jodi (Rick Wolterbeek) McCaw of Prophetstown, IL; seven grandchildren, Jennifer (William) Crumley; Brady McCaw; AJ (Jayne) Orendorff, Andrew Orendorff, Amy (Jim) Finn, Peter Polito and Mary Kate (Dakota) Warnken; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Joyce Tobin of Prophetstown, IL.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William; one son, James Orendorff; one daughter, Kimberly Orendorff; one sister, Dorothy O’Donnell; one brother, Paul Hoffman.
