Obituary for Patricia Ann (Steadman) Lange
PATRICIA ANN (STEADMAN) LANGE, 89, of Morrison, IL, died December 3, 2021, in the home of her daughter and grandson.
Her funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home with Ken Renkes officiating. The visitation will precede the service starting at 10:00 AM until the start of the funeral. Interment will be held at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison, IL.
Patricia was born in Sterling, IL, on June 10, 1932, to the late Kenneth B. and Helene (Becker) Steadman. A graduate of Woodlawn Grade School and a 1950 graduate of Sterling High School.
Patricia married Lendell Lange on March 14, 1954, in Sterling, IL. Lendell died August 29, 2013. Patricia and Lendell were partners in farming, where she remained living throughout her life. The farm was her most favorite place in the world. She loved looking across the fields and watching the crops mature each year. They were long time members of the Whiteside County Farm Bureau.
Patricia gave piano lessons for 13 years. She was a teller and loan officer at the Morrison G.E. Employees Federal Credit Union for 9 years before becoming the office manager at R.C. Smith Transportation and Scenic Stage Line for the next 22 years. She served on the Board of the Morrison Federal Credit Union for 20 years.
Patricia became a member of the First Baptist Church when she married Lendell. She gave of her talents as choir director, Sunday School teacher and was the Church Secretary for twenty-five years. She was an active member of the Mary and Martha Mission Circle.
Patricia kept her family close and cherished every moment. She loved playing with her grandson and watching him grow. They were always playing tricks on one another. Patricia enjoyed playing bridge, music of all genres, traveling with her family and attending the theater.
Survivors include one daughter, Audrey Lange of 1316 Shawford Way, Elgin, IL 60120; grandson, Samuel Steadman Lange; nieces and nephews.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lendell; one son, Steven Lange; one brother, Burdette Steadman; two sisters, Donna Lou Steadman in infancy and Marlene “Jo” Steadman.
