Obituary for Patrick Lee Hinrichs
PATRICK LEE HINRICHS, 36, of Prophetstown, IL, died Friday, March 17, 2017, at CGH Medical Center, Sterling, IL.Patrick was born July 17, 1980, in Sterling, IL, to Gary L. and Catharine M. (Sandrock) Hinrichs. He was educated in the Prophetstown grade schools and was a 1998 graduate of Prophetstown High School. He then attended Dana College in Blair, NE. Patrick was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Prophetstown. He was the manager of the Prophetstown Wrestling team and manager of the Dana College Wrestling team. Patrick volunteered at the Lyndon Progress Center Preschool, the Tampico Elementary School and Prophetstown Elementary School. Patrick collected toy John Deere Tractors and was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes fan.Survivors include his parents, Gary and Cathy; two sisters, Sarah (Chris) Vacanti of Omaha, NE and Staci (Nic) Lenox of Middle Island, NY; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Betty Hinrichs of Rock Falls, IL, one nephew, Lucas Vacanti; one niece, Allie Vacanti; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Dean and Helen Sandrock and paternal grandfather, Walter Hinrichs.
