Obituary for Paul Anthony Griffith
PAUL ANTHONY GRIFFITH, 53, of Clinton, IA, formerly of Fulton, IL, died Friday, February 28, 2020, at Jackson County Regional Health Center in Maquoketa, IA.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 PM Friday, March 6, 2020, at Rock Island National Cemetery in Rock Island, IL. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 6:00 PM Thursday, March 5, 2020 at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. A memorial has been established by the family.
Paul was born January 7, 1967, in Moline, IL, to Walter and Betty (Waddel) Griffith. He graduated from Fulton High School in Fulton, IL. Paul served as an Army Ranger in the 82nd Airborne and the 54th Engineering Battalion in the US Army. Paul enjoyed being outdoors, especially fishing and camping. He was an avid Alabama University Crimson Tide fan.
Survivors include four daughters, Heather (Adam Thines) Schaver of Spragueville, IA; Jessica (Nick) Cross of Miles, IA; Jamie (Aaron Hayward) Griffith of Preston, IA; and Brianna Griffith of Freeport, IL; one son, Shane (Jenny) Griffith of Savanna, IL; ten grandchildren; his mother, Betty Green of Clinton, IA; one sister, Vickie Shepard of Camanche, IA; two brothers, Steven (Denice) Griffith of Fulton, IL, and Keith (Wendy) Ingold of Florida; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his father, Walter; one son in infancy; and one brother, Walter Griffith.
