Obituary for Pauline G. Sterenberg
PAULINE G. STERENBERG, 91, of Morrison, IL, died Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Resthave Nursing Home in Morrison.Pauline was born February 18, 1925, in Morrison, to Earl and Jennie (Vogel) Bonneur. On February 16, 1945 she married Wesley Sterenberg in Morrison. He passed away in 1997. Pauline farmed along with her husband in the Morrison area for 50 years. In her younger years she had worked for the Burpee Seed Company in Clinton, IA, Smith Trust and Savings Bank in Morrison and the Whiteside County Farm Bureau. She was a member of Emmanuel Reformed Church in Morrison. Pauline was also a member of the Morrison Historical Society and Resthave Auxiliary. In their retirement years she and her late husband made many wonderful memories visiting family and close friends in their motor home. She loved reading and crafts, especially counted cross stitch, crocheting, sewing and porcelain doll making. She made many beautiful keepsakes for her family. She also enjoyed sending out greeting cards and notes. She will be greatly missed by all in her family.Survivors include two daughters, Eileen (David) Bennett of Fort Collins, CO and Paula (Cal) Venema of Atkinson, IL; one son, Dale (Sue) Sterenberg of Morrison; eight grandchildren, Brad (Jessica) Buikema, Bryan (Amber) Buikema, Brooke Buikema, Brenda (Brian) Holcomb, Ryan (Tosha) Venema, Kelly (Todd) Veltrop, Grant (Erica) Venema and Emalie Sterenberg;twelve great grandchildren, Jonah, Isaiah, Thane, Cora and Elsie Venema, Ben and Beckett Holcomb, Spencer Salt, Busby and Beatrix Pauline Buikema, Shelby and Camryn Veltrop; two nieces, Becki (Dave) Damhoff and Melissa Devorah; one nephew, Mark (Cara) Sterenberg.She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Wesley.
