Obituary for Phylis A. Venhuizen
PHYLIS A VENHUIZEN, 93, of Resthave Home in Morrison, IL, died Friday, August 14, 2015 at Resthave. Phylis was born October 26, 1921, in Chadwick, IL, to Charles and Flossie (Hiller) Adolph. She was educated at Jefferson School in rural Carroll County, IL. On January 22, 1944 she married William "Whitey" Venhuizen in Morrison. He died September 8, 1998. Phylis was a homemaker. She was a member of Ebenezer Reformed Church in Morrison, where she participated in Ladies Aid and the church"s quilting group. She was an avid Cubs Fan. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Lois King of Chadwick, IL and Mrs. Florence Tripp of Morrison; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Whitey, and one brother, Donald "Bub" Adolph.
