Obituary for Phyllis J. Miller
PHYLLIS J. MILLER, 81, of Mercy Living Center North, Clinton, IA, formerly of Albany, IL, died Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at the living center. Phyllis was born October 28, 1932, in Fulton, IL, to John W. and Hazel (Wiebenga) Maring. She was educated in the Unity Christian Grade School, Fulton, and was a 1950 graduate of Fulton High School. She married Kenneth J. Miller on November 23, 1950, in Fulton. Phyllis was a member of the Evangelical Free Church in Erie, IL, where she had served as a Sunday school teacher and as an AWANA Club leader. She enjoyed flower gardening, homemaker activities, spending time with her family, and her dog, Sadie. Survivors include her husband, Kenneth; two daughters, Beth Ann (Rex Kitt) Wickes of Preemption, IL and Gaye Lynn Bennett of Monticello, WI; two grandchildren, Ryan M. Bennett and Adam J. Wickes; one sister, Marilyn (Jack) Dyke of Fulton, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, John W. and Hazel Maring.
